Controversial Topics
On a serious note, as a South Asian, I know how controversial it can be to even discuss the topics that are the focus of what I help people with:
Mental Health
Depression – Anxiety – Self Love and Esteem
Sex Life
Erectile Dysfunction – Premature or Delayed Ejaculation – Compulsive Sexual Behavior or Addiction – Sexuality – Fetishes, Paraphilias, and Erotic Conflict – Shame and Guilt
Desire Discrepancy (low or high desire) – and more
Relationships
Connect deeper socially, physically, and psychologically. Understand each other’s blueprint, values, priorities, motivations, attachment styles, and love languages. Learn communication strategies that focus on what is the most important. If you’re single, learn to find authentic love and meet people. Move on from past events and gain closure by resolving past conflict. Prevent heartbreak, breakup, and rekindle young love.
Confidential (No Gossip) !
All of the above are deeply personal issues that you don’t necessarily want your friends, family, or even partner knowing about; depending on the situation. As a South Asian, I understand how scary it can be for people to talk about your personal life in public. That’s why my practice guarantees strict confidentiality that keeps your private life private.
Speak Your Own Language & Get ‘Easy English’
I am conversationally able to speak Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. I am born in Toronto so I speak ‘Desi Style’. While I can’t speak any of these languages perfectly, I can probably speak enough to be helpful. In any case, I understand Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu very well so you can speak 100% in your language of choice if you like. Also, please note that my English in person will be much easier to understand than my writing in this article. This writing is for many people. When we meet in person, I will change to match to you specifically.
South Asian Cultural Conditioning
Whether you born in North, East, South, or Western India (or North America!), rest assured you will have someone who is comfortable with your culture. I know all about societal pressure to rarely date but get married quick. How the culture pressures you to succeed in school, at home, and the workplace. How the world will constantly measure you up by comparing your caste/class, profession, clothes, car, the fairness of your skin, and well, everything. Shame, Guilt, and so much more.
Religious Understanding
I have studied and value beautiful texts such as the Guru Granth Sahib (Sikhism), Bhagavad Gita (Hinduism), Quran (Islam), and Tripitaka (Buddhism). I have also visited many temples due to my academic learning and personal interests.
I don’t bring any religious elements to my practice at all (not even 1%) but if you feel that is affecting your thoughts or relationship (such as guilt, thoughts about sex, or different ideas from your partner); you will have the right therapist supporting you. I am more than happy to understand how religion is affecting you and I bring my own awareness to make it easier for you.
My Personal Experience & Booking Now
On a more serious note again, I am proud to be South Asian and wouldn’t change that for anything. That’s why I also know that growing up South Asian isn’t easy and comes with its own set of special rules, challenges, pressures, and struggles.
I know all this because I have been through it. I had major issues with my mental health, sex life, and relationships but could never find a therapist who understood me. That’s why I do what I do and this is a responsibility I take seriously.
I understand that this type of ‘stuff’ can be hard to talk about. I guarantee you a place free of judgement and full of empathy. There is nothing you can tell me that I haven’t heard before. I am here to serve you and that is a privilege I take seriously.
