In a perfect world, everyone would work with a therapist…investing in Health and Life Satisfaction should be everyone’s priority
Finding a therapist, who is a good match, is important. The wrong therapist can create bigger problems and the correct one can speed YOU up YOUR mountain. And if you don’t do anything, it just gets worse.
I’ve worked with the worst and best practitioners:
- Whether it’s my practice (I provide therapy to therapists too)
- The Peer Therapy group I co-run
- The mental health workshops I facilitate
- Or my own therapists & supervisors
I know how important compatibility is.
EVERYONE seeks support ‘late’ but the ones who give up, well they live silent lives of desperation. Don’t let that happen to you.
It’s an important decision for sure BUT you also have the opportunity to stop with a therapist at any time, there is zero commitment.
The first step is the hardest and most important.
Congrats because you are doing that RIGHT NOW !
So get to know me, and decide whether you want me to get to know you. There are 4 pages here……while useful, not compulsory to read at all, many want to book right away so feel free to press the Book Now buttons on these pages instead if that’s your preference.
Hi, I’m Kevin (Singh),
It’s a pleasure to meet you!
In this ‘New Client Info” section, you will learn about my personality, approach, values, and credentials.
Most important, you will learn how I can practically support you to achieve your goals.
If you’re here to improve your Relationships and Sex Life, you’re in the right place. My mission is to help people in these two key areas of life. I am building a world where adults have clarity, pleasure, and healthy relationships with themselves, others, and sex itself.
Confusion, shame, dysfunction, and miscommunication are no longer barriers and pleasure is plentiful.
I’m passionate about this because I’ve faced soo many of these challenges myself. Thanks to customized therapy and education, I’ve been able to overcome sexual dysfunctions, toxic relationships, low self-esteem, and much more.
I want the same for you.
What I Can Help You With:
SELF-RESPECT & LOVE
Esteem, identity, values, boundaries, purpose, vision, and a clear trajectory to your goals. # Lifestyle Design
RELATIONSHIPS
Break-up prevention, effective communication, regaining trust, managing different sex drives, and authentic connection. Stop the stress and have a wayy better sex life while you’re at it.
If you have broken up, I will teach you how to recover fast, in a health way, and meet new people.
SEX THERAPY
Erectile dysfunction, premature/delayed ejaculation, and any type of anxiety including performance.
Get clarity on your fetishes, turn-ons, and your sexuality, if applicable.
Overcome guilt/shame, esteem issues, and addictions.
If you’re confused, anxious, and fed up, then you’re in the right place.
Imagine connecting with a partner in a way that is calm and relaxed.
Imagine being in control of your pleasure and looking forward to sex.
Imagine knowing and loving yourself to a point that making decisions is easy.
Does that sound like a fantasy? Well it isn’t.
If a passionate therapist designs you a custom Success Plan, based on your unique psychological blueprint, then guides you (with accountability) ….then these and other benefits are just around the corner.
Other Therapists Comment on Kevin:
You’ll be able to read statements from my clients in future pages but for now…
Laval Martin, MSW, RSW, Registered Psychotherapist
I have been privileged to benefit from Kevin’s wisdom and knowledge, as I’ve sought his input on some of my more challenging cases. He’s particularly adept at issues around sexuality and relationships. Kevin listens empathetically and validates your experience ; at the same time, he provides practical exercises and suggestions to speed up progress. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking support for sex and relationship challenges.
Corey Turnbull (Registered Psychotherapist, MSc, OAMHP, CHT)
Kevin is empathetic and exudes a certain optimism that in itself is encouraging. He’s open, easy-going, grounded – the kind of guy that you can feel comfortable talking about sex and relationships with.
Consultations
Please note that I do not offer consultations for two reasons. First, I believe in quick access to health services and second, I don’t want to create a longer waitlist than I already have. This discourages people from seeking help and prolongs suffering.
In these pages, I try to answer all the questions you can think of. You even get to hear from my colleagues and previous clients (anonymously of course). I write in a way that is authentic and casual so that you will be able to decide if we gel. I love people so we probably do!
Qualifications
In grad school, I was the representative of my Masters program and advocated for the mental health of fellow students. Now, I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Member of the Ontario Association of Social Work (OASW), Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). More info about why social work is so helpful in the ‘wholistic health’ section later.
Beyond direct therapy, I am passionate about psychoeducation with an emphasis on Practicality. In training then partnership with The (prestigious) Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute (CTRI) and Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance (ACHIEVE), I travel across Canada facilitating mental health workshops where I teach social workers, counsellors, therapists, and other helping professionals.
Just some of the relevant workshops I facilitate (in person) include:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): Tools for Thinking Differently
- Counselling: The Essential Skills
- Motivational interviewing: Strategies for Supporting Change
- Mental Health Awareness and Support
- Vicarious Trauma: Strategies for Resilience
- Trauma Informed Care: Building a Culture of Strength
- Concurrent Disorders and Addiction
- Ethics of Helping
- Wellness Strategies: Stress, Compassion, Fatigue, and Resilience
Inside info warning 😉
One major reason I became a facilitator is because I strongly believe that a private practice therapist should have 2 sources of income. If a therapist’s only income is via booked sessions, they will want to keep the work going as long as possible (sub/consciously) . This means they make more money and your challenges get unnecessarily complicated. Of course it’s not always like that but when it is, it will cause you to lose money, time, motivation, and precious emotion.
Having a second income source in the mental health sector allows me to focus on helping to solve your challenge FAST. # Brief Solution Focused Therapy
Supervision
Please note that Every licensed helping professional providing psychotherapy must be supervised. This applies to all practitioners, whether they have been working for 5 years or 50.
My practice is supervised by Laval Martin (MSW, RSW). With extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I purposely reached out to Laval becausee this skillset of Emotional Regulation fills out my approach well (more on that later). DBT improves relationships and sex by focusing on acceptance, change, presence, and ALL emotions. It helps people to be grounded and clear in the chaos of life challenges, in and out of the bedroom. In a very rare scenario, you can email Laval if you ever have complaints ; laval@wisemindtoronto.com
# Accountability # Practice What I Preach
In previous years, my practice was closely supervised by the well-known and respected sex therapist, Rob Peach. Mr. Peach is a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW), Clinical Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), Associate Member for the Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling of Ontario (BESTCO), and a Professional Member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counsellors and Therapists (AASECT).
Rob and I presented a psycho-education workshop to BESTCO that was appreciated and praised.
Continued Competence
I have had the pleasure of collaborating with organizations such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Provider Files, Healthing.ca, CP24, Sex Matters, The List, and A Life Deserved.
I co-run a weekly Peer Supervision Therapy Group where I support licensed helping professionals with tools and strategies so that they can help more people.
I stay up to date with modern evidence-based research. Right now, I am enjoying Huberman Labs, Brene Brown, and Esther Perel.
Every week, I see my supervisor, therapist, and coach.
I am always completing a mental health course.
Outside of academics, I have invested at least 25K into my own self-development. It’s been a long road, but I am a totally different person now, and still growing.
Don’t be concerned, mine is a path of Identity Level Change, we can find solutions for you that are cheaper and faster.
I was recently interviewed in a documentary about Self Respect & Love.
From the director:
Thank you so much for being part of the creation of this film. Your voice
and perspective was eye opening for me and added much depth to the
conversation. – Amen Jafri
In my personal life, I enjoy long walks on the beach, travelling, fine dining, and mindfulness, and comedy.
